Last year, Xiaomi introduced the Mi Air 2 Pro and now, it's reportedly set to launch a new pair of true wireless earphones called the Xiaomi Noise Cancelling Earphones Pro on May 13. The earphones will be the company's flagship noise-canceling earphones for 2021, according to a teaser posted by the company on its Chinese social media platform, Weibo.
Though the company didn't specifically state that the device will have Active Noise Cancellation, certainly, the tight seal of the rubber tips on the earphones will at least improve passive cancellation.
Not much is known about the specs of the device, but according to the image contained in the teaser, the Xiaomi earphones would come with an oval charging case and the hinge will have a label that contains the Xiaomi branding. The earphones themselves appear to have a small stalk, and feature angled ear tips – something that generally makes for a decent, snug fit.
Given that the presence of noise cancellation is a certainty (be it Active Noise Cancellation or Hybrid Noise Cancellation) when Xiaomi launches these earphones, the Noise Cancelling Headphones Pro may also feature gesture control on the earbuds to give users the option to tweak noise cancellation settings.
At this moment, it is not clear if Xiaomi will make the earphones available in other markets including India, but given that the company has launched several audio devices in India and Europe over the years, it is expected that the Xiaomi Noise Cancelling Earphones Pro will be made available globally.
