Xiaomi has announced the launch of Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, the successor to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 that was released three years ago. The Mi Mix 4 is Xiaomi's first smartphone to feature an under-display camera and the first smartphone to be powered by the Snapdragon 888+ processor. The smartphone comes with up to 12GB RAM, a 108MP main camera, and a 4,500mAh battery.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 2400 × 1080 pixel resolution, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Protection.
It is powered by the new Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888+ chipset and packs 8GB/12GB RAM with 128GB/512GB internal storage.
The standout feature on the Mi Mix 4 is in the camera department. The device packs a 20MP selfie camera which is hidden under the display through Xiaomi’s CUP (Camera Under Display) technology, which minimizes light diffraction through a special circuit design, as well as a new transparent curved wiring Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) material coupled with imaging algorithms.
On its rear, it features a triple-camera setup that includes a 1/1.33-inch 108MP ISOCELL HMX main sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) which is accompanied by an optically stabilized 8MP periscope module with 5x optical zoom and 120mm equivalent focal length, and a 13MP ultrawide snapper with a free-form lens and a reported 1% edge distortion.
In terms of connectivity, the device offers 5G SA/NSA and Xiaomi's unique ultra-wideband (UWB) technology which allows for accurate positioning data and smart device controls.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 packs a 4,500mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging— that can take the device from 0%–100% in 15 minutes in boost mode (21 minutes without boost) —and 50W wireless fast charging that can charge the device from 0% to 100% in 28 minutes in boost mode.
