Vivo has launched the Vivo Y55s 5G smartphone in China. The newest 5G smartphone in the company's Y-series features a 6.58-inch full-HD+ LCD display, MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, 8GB RAM, and 6000mAh battery— the largest battery in a Vivo smartphone.
Vivo Y55s 5G features a 6.58-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and is not the same, neither is it similar in specs nor design with the Vivo Y55s that was released in 2017.
The new smartphone is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 700 processor and packs 8GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD.
At its rear, Vivo Y55s 5G features a dual-camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor accompanied by a 2MP macro camera. At the front, it houses an 8MP selfie camera in a water-drop notch.
The smartphone runs on Android 11 with the company's Origin OS skin on top and packs a 6000mAh battery,— the largest battery ever on a Vivo smartphone —with 18W fast charging support via USB Type-C port. The smartphone also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack located next to the USB Type-C port at the bottom.

Vivo Y55s 5G is available in three colour options; Black, Blue, and Pink at a retail price of CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs. 20,200, $298 ). The smartphone is listed on the company's website but it is yet to be put on sale and there's currently no information when it will be.
