Tecno has quietly launched the Tecno Spark 8 which is an entry-level budget smartphone. The smartphone was launched in Nigeria with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display, Helio P22 chipset, and 2GB RAM as the successor to the Tecno Spark 7 that was released in April this year.
The Tecno Spark 8 features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels.
The smartphone is powered by MediaTek's Helio P22 chipset and packs 2GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage space which can be expanded via microSD.

On its rear, it features an unusually large cutout which houses just a dual-camera setup, a quad-LED flash, and a fingerprint scanner. The dual-camera setup consists of a 16MP primary sensor and a QVGA secondary lens. At the front, it houses an 8MP selfie camera in a water-drop notch.
Tecno Spark 8 runs on Tecno's HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11 Go edition. It packs a 5,000mAh battery which only supports 10W fast charging via the dated micro-USB port.
