Tecno has released information about the awaited Tecno Spark 7, which is a sequel to the Spark 6 that was released last September. The device will be launched into the Indian market with a starting price of INR7,500 ($100/€85), and will be available for purchase on Amazon starting on August 16th.
The Spark 7 boasts a powerful 6,000mAh battery with a 30 days standby; although the company has not released any information about a fast charging ability, we expect it to feature one. The battery will be recharged with a charger and micro-USB cable included in the retail package. It also features a 3.5mm headphone jack with an FM radio receiver.
It has a user-friendly Android 11 interface which is customized with the company's HiOS version 7.5. Users will enjoy a fast response rate, dark mode, and chat bubbles.
The device comes in three colors; Morpheus Blue, Spruce Green, and Magnetic Black, with a 6.5” display and 720 x 1,600 px resolution.
The company has yet to release some information such as the charging speed, video ability, and gaming experience. The likelihood of an excellent gaming experience is relatively low as the Tecno Spark 7 only comes in two variations, 2/32GB and 3/64GB. It packs an Helio A25 ch5ipset (12nm, 8xCortex-A53 CPU, GE8320 GPU). Both variants are expected to support 4G (no 5G) network connections.
The camera has been significantly improved from the Tecno Spark 6. This device offers a 16MP dual rear camera and a depth sensor that supports video bokeh. Also, like the prequel, it supports 120 fps slow-motion videos.
The front camera is nested in an 8MP notch design instead of the pop-up or screen design now increasingly common among high-end mobile phones, for the front camera flash, there are two LEDs on each side of the notch.
The TECNO Spark 7 is set to launch through Amazon India on April 16 with a starting price of INR7,500 ($100/€85) for the 2/32GB variant and INR8,500 for the 3/64GB counterpart. To speed up sales, customers are provided with an INR500 discount when they buy early.
