Sony has announced specifications for their three new flagship devices, the Xperia 10 III, alongside the Xperia 5 III and Xperia 1 III. The Xperia 5 III (Mark Three) is a sequel to the Xperia 5 II (mark two) launched last year. The phone showcases three rear cameras and a selfie camera. It runs Android 11 on the Snapdragon 888 chipset, 8GB RAM, and 128GB ROM expandable up to 1TB. It also has a robust 4500mAh battery that supports fast charging.
Like the Xperia 5 II, this device has a 6.1-inch 21:9 CinemaWide FHD+ HDR display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The main difference is the chipset. The Xperia 5 III runs on Android 11 on the Snapdragon 888 chipset, 8GB RAM, and 128GB ROM.
In terms of sound features, the phone packs powerful 360 Reality Audio with Dolby Atmos sound. The speakers were configured by the company's pictures entertainment center — Sony Pictures Entertainment. The entire stage stereo speakers will surely boast the Sony Pictures Entertainment sound prowess .
For accessibility, the fingerprint sensor is rear-mounted where users can easily reach, and it is evident that rear-mounted fingerprint sensors are going out of style. The 6.1-inch CinemaWide FHD+ HDR screen will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and a retail pouch.
For optics, the three rear cameras will be a 12MP primary lens with f/1.7, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, an 2MP telephoto lens for long-distance capturing. The telephoto lens is said to be capable of shooting even far moving objects 75mm and 105mm focal lengths. Users can get 12.5x hybrid zoom, ZEISS T* coating, Real-Time Eye AF (Human, Animal) but without a 3D time-of-flight sensor.
Like the Xperia 10 III and Xperia 1, Sony Xperia 1 III's launch date has not been confirmed, but Sony announced that it would be sometime during early summer, which falls in the next two months. The device will be rolled out in Green, Black, and Pink.
