Sony Mobile is causing quite a wave with their newly announced flagship devices. The company has announced the Xperia 10 III alongside the Xperia 5 III and Xperia 1 III. The Xperia 10 III (Mark 3) showcases triple rear cameras: a 12MP primary lens, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP front camera.
The two supporting 8MP rear cameras have telephoto and 120° ultrawide features, respectively. In contrast, the front 8MP selfie camera will have a 78-degree FOV.
The device will be powered by a Snapdragon 690 5G with Android 11 configuration and 6GB RAM, coupled with a 128GB expandable memory up to 1TB. Although we have confirmed the full specifications, the launch date is still unannounced.
The 6-inch 21:9 wide full HD+ OLED screen does not have a visible notch design which looks sleeker on devices. However, this does not have any impact on the display performance. It also has an average refresh of 60Hz with a 120Hz Touch sampling rate, 97% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 10-bit tonal gradation. The company did not overlook the durability as we get a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection for the screen.
The Xperia 10 III has a water-resistant rating of IPX5/IPX8 and IP6X dustproof rating. Users will also have the fingerprint sensor mounted at the side of the device. Notably, rear-mounted fingerprint sensors are going out of style. It is also lightweight, weighing just 169g, even with a robust 4500mAh battery. The battery is chargeable through a USB port and supports 30W fast charging, Xperia Adaptive Charging, Battery Care, and STAMINA mode. Although the retail charger is weaker, being just 18W.
The Sony Xperia Mark 3 will be available in white, black, blue, and pink. The device protective casing will also be included in the retail package in these same colors. We do not have any specific information about the launch date or pricing, but Sony Mobile says the launch will be in early Summer, around two months away.
