Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 & Galaxy Z Flip 3 Announced At Unpacked Event

At the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, the company introduced a new wave of foldable phones in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones, effectively putting an end to the various rumours regarding these devices. The foldable phones are made of Samsung's Armour Aluminium and they have a water-resistant rating of IPX8.

Samsung's latest flip phone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED main display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a 22:9 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The device also has a 1.9-inch external AMOLED display that can show extra content like notifications and messages without having to open it. 

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor and packs an 8GB RAM with 128GB and 256GB storage option. It runs on One UI based on Android 11 and features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. 

On its rear, it features a dual-camera setup that consists of a 12MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. It packs a 10MP front camera on top of its folding display. 

The smartphone packs a 3,300mAh battery with 15W fast charging support and it is compatible with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0. It supports wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 features a 7.6-inch primary QXGA+ Infinity Flex Dynamic AMOLED 2X display on the inside with a 120Hz refresh rate, 22.5:18 aspect ratio, and 374ppi pixel density. The smartphone also has a 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 24.5:9 aspect ratio, and 387ppi pixel density. Both displays had Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. 

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 process and it packs 12GB RAM with 256GB/512GB storage. It runs on One UI 3.1 based on Android 11 and features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. 

On its rear, it features a triple-camera setup that includes a 12MP primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 12MP telephoto camera. On its cover, it packs a 10MP front-facing camera and a 4MP under-display camera on top of its folding screen. 

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with a 4,400mAh battery with 25W wired and 10W wireless charging. It also comes with S Pen support.
