OnePlus first launched the OnePlus 9RT smartphone exclusively in China back in October 2021, and now the company has officially confirmed that the smartphone will be made available globally on January 14 during its Winter Edition launch event.
The announcement was made on Twitter by OnePlus India when the company posted a Morse code with the caption, "Get ready to decide greatness. Coming soon! #NeverSettle". The Morse code after decryption read, "OnePlus 9RT".
The launch event which will be done via a live stream from OnePlus India's YouTube channel will also see the launch of the OnePlus Buds Z2 earbuds. OnePlus 9RT features a 6.62-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 397 PPI, 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR 10+, sRGB, Display P3 color gamut, up to 1300 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor and comes in the following storage variants; 8GB LPPDDR5 RAM with 128/256GB internal storage variant, and a high-end 12GN LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB storage.
At its rear, it features a triple-camera set-up that includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, with OIS, dual-LED flash, a 16MP 123° ultra-wide camera with f/2.25 aperture, EIS, and a 2MP 4cm macro camera. At the front, it houses a 16MP front-facing camera Sony IMX471 sensor in a punch-hole notch.
In terms of connectivity, the OnePlus 9RT offers 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax 2X2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (L1+L5 Dual Band) + GLONASS, USB Type-C, and NFC.
The smartphone runs on Android 12 with Oxygen OS 12 and packs a 4500mAh battery with 65W Warp Charge fast charging support.
