Shortly after launching the Moto E20 smartphone, Lenovo-owned Motorola has announced a new smartphone in its E series called the Moto E40. The budget smartphone which features slightly higher specs than the Moto E20 has a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display, UNISOC T700 processor, and a 5,000mAh battery.
The Moto E40 was teased on Flipkart, revealing its specs. The smartphone will feature a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with 720 x 1600 pixel resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 400 nits peak brightness. The back of the device is made of plastic with a grooved design optimized for easier grip and fewer fingerprint smudges. Also, the iconic Motorola logo which doubles as the fingerprint sensor can be found at the back of the Moto E40.

The smartphone is powered by the UNISOC T700 SoC and it packs 4GB RAM with 64GB storage that can be expanded via microSD.
In the camera department, the Moto E40 features a triple-camera set-up on its rear that includes a 48MP primary sensor that uses quad pixel tech accompanied by a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, it houses an 8MP selfie camera in a punch-hole notch.

It will run on Moto's MyUX based on Android 11 out of the box and pack a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support which Motorola claims will last for two days on typical usage per one single full charge. It is also tipped to last for 76 hours of music streaming, 14 hours of video playback, and 10 hours of Web browsing. The smartphone can be charged via a USB-C port.

Moto E40 comes in Carbon Grey and Pink Clay colors. The pricing details for the smartphone are yet to be unveiled but it is expected to be revealed along with the availability information on or before the smartphone launches in the Indian market on October 12.
