At Apple's "Peek Performance" event, the company introduced the iPhone SE 2022 edition, also referred to as the iPhone SE 3. The third-gen iPhone SE was announced alongside the Apple iPad Air (5th Gen), the M1 Ultra processor, and the new green color variant for the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro.
Like its predecessor, the iPhone SE 2020, the new iPhone SE features the same design that boasts of a 4.7-inch retina HD IPS display with 1334x750 pixel resolution and Haptic touch. The Touch ID fingerprint sensor is also located beneath the display and the new iPhone SE has a glass and aluminium design along with the ceramic shield protection that debuted with the iPhone 12.
However, unlike its predecessor, iPhone SE 3 is powered by the A15 Bionic chip, an upgrade on the A13 Bionic chip. It is available in three storage options; 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.
At its rear, it features a single 12MP wide-angle (f/1.8) camera with support for optical image stabilization, True Tone flash, 4K video recording at 60 fps, and Slo‑mo 1080p at 240 fps. It also has interesting features such as Smart HDR 4, Deep Fusion, and iPhone 13 Portrait mode. The new iPhone SE has a 7MP front camera to round off the optics department.
Apple iPhone SE 2022 runs on iOS 15 and offers 5G (sub‑6 GHz), Gigabit-class LTE, 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC with reader mode, and GPS with GLONASS as connectivity options.

Lastly, the iPhone SE's built-in lithium-ion battery promises up to 15 hours of video playback. It comes in Midnight, Starlight, and (PRODUCT) RED colours at a retail price of Rs. 43900 (approx. $570) for the base 64GB model. The 128GB strong version costs Rs. 48,900 (approx $635) while the 256GB version has a retail price of Rs. 58,900 (approx. $765).
iPhone SE 2022 will be available to order in more than 30 countries and regions, starting from Friday, March 11th and will roll out from March 18.
