After months of rumors and speculations, Huawei has officially launched the Huawei P50 series that includes a vanilla model (Huawei P50) and a pro version (Huawei P50 Pro). These smartphones come with 6.6-inch OLED displays, upgraded cameras, a minimum of 8GB RAM, and 4360mAh batteries with 66W fast charging support.
The Huawei P50 features a 6.5-inch OLED display with 2,700 x 1,224 pixel resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 300Hz touch sampling. The Huawei P50 Pro on the other hand features a 6.6-inch OLED display with 2,700 x 1,228 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 300Hz touch sampling.

The P50 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor which was set to support 4G only while the P50 Pro comes in two versions; one that's powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor and another that's powered by Kirin 9000, both set to support 4G only.
In the storage department, the Huawei P50 packs 8GB RAM with 128GB/256GB storage that can be expanded by a further 256GB via microSD. Huawei P50 Pro comes in different storage options; 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 512GB storage.
Coming to the main feature of the P50 series, the Huawei P50 features a triple-camera setup on its rear that includes a 50MP main sensor with a 13MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP telephoto with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). At the front, it packs a 13MP selfie camera.

The Huawei P50 Pro features a quad-camera setup on its rear that includes a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 13MP ultra-wide camera, a 64MP telephoto, and a 40MP monochrome camera. At the front, it packs a 13MP selfie camera.
The smartphones in the Huawei P50 series both run on Harmony OS 2.0 and are rated IP68 for water and dust resistance.
Huawei P50 packs a 4,100mAh battery that supports 66W fast wired charging while the Huawei P50 Pro packs a 4,360mAh battery that supports 66W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging. Huawei claims the smartphones can charge from 0% – to 100% in 30 – 40 minutes.

The Huawei P50 Pro is available in Golden Black, Pearl White, Rose Pink and Cocoa Gold colors at a retail price of CNY 5,988 ($930/€780) for the SD888 model with 8GB/128GB, CNY 6,488 for the SD888 model with 8GB/256GB, CNY 7,488 for the SD888 model with 8GB/512GB, CNY 6,488 for the Kirin 9000 model with 8GB/256GB, and CNY 7,488 for the Kirin 9000 model with 8GB/512GB.
