After months of rumors and speculations, Google has officially announced October 19 as the launch date of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones. Last month, Google confirmed that the Pixel 6 series will be powered by the company's own Tensor SoC instead of the Whitechapel chip that was previously reported.
The Google Pixel 6 is expected to feature a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate while the Pixel 6 Pro features a 6.71-inch curved OLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 3120 × 1440 pixel resolution.

The smartphones will be powered by Google's Tensor processor and will run on Android 12 out of the box. The Pixel 6 is expected to pack 8GB RAM with 128GB / 256GB storage options while the Pixel 6 Pro packs 12GB RAM with 128GB / 256GB / 512GB storage options.
In the camera department, Google Pixel 6 is rumored to feature a dual-camera setup on its rear that includes a 50MP Samsung GN1 primary sensor accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide Sony IMX386 camera. On its front, it houses an 8MP selfie camera in a punch-hole notch.
The Google Pixel 6 Pro on the other hand is expected to feature a 50MP Samsung GN1 primary sensor accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide Sony IMX386 camera and a 48MP telephone camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor. At the front, it houses a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor in a punch-hole notch.

Both smartphones offer 5G SA/NA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.2 LE, GPS, USB Type C 3.1 (1st Gen), NFC as connectivity options.
According to speculations, Google Pixel 6 will be launched with a 4,414mAh battery with 33W fast charging and wireless charging support. The Google Pixel 6 Pro is tipped to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

The Pixel 6 is expected to be launched at a retail price of €649 (US$ 752 / Rs. 56,104) while the Pixel 6 Pro is rumored to cost €899 (US$ 1042 / Rs. 77,715) in Europe. The online event on October 19 starts at 10 AM PDT (10:30 PM IST), and the phones are rumored to go on sale starting October 28.
Google already stated that the smartphones will be launched in the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, France, Germany, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.
