Apple AirPods 3 Specs and Images Leaked

Following leaks of images that were supposed to be the AirPods 3, more information about Apple’s third-generation AirPods has been unofficially released to the public. The latest available information on what the new AirPods have to offer says that the device is not going to include active noise cancellation. The AirPods Pro before it had active noise cancellation, but it seems like at the expense of active noise cancellation, Apple has decided to go more in favor of Spatial Audio for the AirPods 3, a feature that can also be found in the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. On February 20, 2021, a Chinese audio blog named 52Audio leaked images of what the AirPods 3 is expected to look like. The images shared a striking resemblance with the AirPods Pro. The AirPods 3 will have a shorter stem than the AirPods 2, just like the AirPods Pro does. As opposed to the single-tap and double-tap features we had on the AirPods 1 and AirPods 2, Apple’s third-generation AirPods go a few steps further to feature pressure-sensitive controls at the stems - once again, just like the AirPods Pro. The leaked images suggest that the AirPods 3 will have replaceable in-ear silicone buds at the tips, and a pressure relief chamber. These are supposed to make the new AirPods more comfortable for wearers than its predecessors, the original AirPods and AirPods 2. The expected battery life for this new device is predicted to be about 5 hours on a full charge. In terms of pricing, all ...

FIIL T1X Review: Almost Perfect, But...

I'm fascinated by the budget tech gadget category, especially for audio tech like headphones and earbuds; the tech gets better every year, while the prices mostly remain the same or get even lower. Just about four years ago, wireless earbuds users were just grateful for being able to stream audio without the constraint of wires, and the sound quality was nothing to write home about. Then sound quality became better, and with it came onboard controls like volume control which were previously thought impossible with the small form factor of wireless earbuds. Fast-forward to circa 2018, waterproof and dust resistance (IPXX) ratings began to appear in true wireless earbuds, firstly available only in premium models and eventually trickling down to budget ones. Today, we have true wireless earbuds under $50 that offer good sound quality, an array of onboard controls, have IP ratings for water and dust resistance, offer 5+ hours of battery life, amongst other features that have become a standard on devices like this. The FIIL T1X is one such true wireless earbuds. The T1X is the company's entry product into the true wireless earbuds market, and it's an impressive one at that. But as an end-user, you do not care whether a gadget is its producer's first or 1000th; you just want a device that works well for what you need it for, one that gets the job done. The FIIL T1X might be that, depending on what you want out of budget earbuds, but here's an overview: they perform excellently for ...
