Following the launch of the M1 Ultra chip and the iPhone SE 2022, Apple has unveiled the Apple Mac Studio desktop computer alongside the Studio Display monitor. Apple Mac Studio is powered by M1 Max and the new M1 Ultra which allows it to render massive 3D environments as well playback 18 streams of ProRes video. On the other side, the Studio Display is a 27-inch 5K Retina Monitor with a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a high-fidelity six-speaker sound system. Together, the Mac Studio and Studio Display packs unprecedented processing power and performance.
Apple Mac Studio

Apple set out to reimagine computer processing power and design with the Mac Studio. Featuring a 7.7-inch length and a 3.7-inch height, the Mac Studio is quite compact as it takes up very little space on the desk.
Powered by either the M1 Max or the M1 Ultra chip, the desktop computer packs an impressive 64GB of unified memory or 128GB of unified memory respectively. It also boasts of up to 7.4GB/s storage performance with a capacity of up to 8TB that can further be expanded to 12GB.
Mac Studio Ends 27-inch iMac

The introduction of the Mac Studio and Studio Display brought about the end of the Apple 27-inch iMac, the company's all-in-one desktop computer. But in comparison, when the Mac Studio is powered by an M1 Max chip, its CPU performance is 2.5x faster than the 27-inch iMac with the 10-core processor. While the M1 Ultra chip is 3.8x faster.

In the area of connectivity, the Mac Studio offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, 4x Thunderbolt 4 ports, 1x 10GB Ethernet port, 2x USB-A ports, 1 HDMI port, and 1x pro audio jack at the back. At the front, it offers 2x USB-C ports, 1x SD card slot, and extensive display support for up to 4 Pro Display XDRs and a 4K TV.
Studio Display

Apple Studio Display features a 27-inch 5K Retina display with 600 nits of peak brightness, DCI-P3 color gamut, True Tone tech, and support for over 1 billion colors. The monitor is designed with either an Anti-reflective coating or the nano-texture glass option and a built-in stand that can tilt up to 30 degrees.
The Studio Display is Apple's first standalone desktop Monitor in recent memory and it is powered by the company's A13 Bionic processor to enable the Center Stage camera feature. The monitor comes with a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a Center Stage feature that allows users to remain centered on the screen even while they move about during video conferencing.

In addition, the Studio Display features a three-microphone array and a high-fidelity six-speaker sound system inside. In terms of connectivity, it has 3x USB-C ports, 1x Thunderbolt port which allows it to be connected to a Mac with a single cable. Through this same cable, the Studio Display can also fast-charge a Mac Notebook, say the 14-inch MacBook Pro with 96W of power.
Both the Mac Studio and Studio Display run on macOS Monterey, they are available to order on Apple Store, and will get to customers from March 18.

The Mac Studio has a starting price of $1,999 while the Studio Display has a starting price of $1,599.
Apple is also selling the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric keypad for $199, Magic Trackpad for $149, and the Magic Mouse for $99.
