Beats has announced its latest true wireless earbuds, the Beats Studio Buds. The company— which is owned by Apple —confirmed that the earbuds will feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), dual-element diaphragm drivers, and one-touch pairing support on both Apple and Android devices.
The Beats Studio Buds feature two listening modes; the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) Mode that cancels out background noise using finely-tuned filters in the microphones on the exterior of the Buds, and the Transparency Mode that uses the same microphones to mix surrounding noise with the music so you can hear your surroundings when you need to while enjoying your music.
According to Apple, the Beats Studio Buds comes with an advanced digital processor that optimizes the audio performance for loudness and clarity. The TWS earbuds are powered by dual-element diaphragm drivers residing in a two-chamber housing for clear balanced sound and wide stereo separation.
In terms of connectivity, the Beats Studio Buds makes use of Class 1 Bluetooth for connecting with Android and Apple devices. It also supports one-touch pairing which means when you open the case near either an Android or Apple device, the Studio Buds will automatically connect with them.
The Beats Studio Buds offer up to 8 hours of battery life with ANC and Transparency mode off. With the charging case offering two full charges, the Studio Buds will have an extended 24 hours of battery life. With ANC or Transparency mode on, the earbuds offer 5 hours of battery life at a stretch and an additional 10 hours with the charging case.
The Beats Studio Buds also supports fast charging as a 5-minute charge will offer 1 hour of playback time.
To enable features like built-in controls, device status and firmware updates, Android users will have to install the Beats app to connect with the Beats Studio Buds. For Apple users, the features are built into iOS already.
The Beats Studio Buds have a water/swear resistance rating of IPX4 and will be available in Black, White, and Red colors.
The Beats Studio Buds are available for purchase in the US on the Apple Store for a retail price of $149.99 (Rs. 10,990 approx.).
