After a long spell, Alienware has unveiled a new model of the m15 gaming laptop. The famous producer of gaming laptops has kept users on the edge of their seats for the latest updates. This new variant comes with many outstanding features, such as an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series GPU, a 360Hz powerful display, and a customizable memory.
The company has kept the gaming community starved for AMD-based laptops which are sometimes preferred to their Intel-based counterparts. More than 14 years since the last announcement was made, Alienware will finally launch a new AMD-based gaming laptop and there are significant upgrades from the Alienware m15 R4. This new m15 laptop features AMD’s Ryzen 5000 mobile series CPU.
The Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5 gaming laptop is paired with either an AMD Ryzen R7 5800H or AMD Ryzen R9 5900HX processor, and users can choose the variant which best suits their needs. The three memory variants are: 8GB DDR4, 16GB DDR4, 32GB DDR4, and they all operate at 3200MHz — which is a very high frequency.
In terms of graphics, users can get the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 8GB GDDR6 or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6, both options are good but the latter is preferable for more hard-core usage. The storage options come in both single and storage configurations, for more customization and personalization. The single storage configurations are: 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, 2TB PCIe M.2 SSD. While the Dual-Drive Non-RAID Configurations are: 512GB (2x 256GB), 1TB (2x 512GB), 2TB (2x 1TB), and 4TB (2x 2TB).
The display also has three variations which are: Display 15.6″ FHD (1920 x 1080) 165Hz 3ms, 15.6″ FHD (1920 x 1080) 360Hz 1ms and 15.6″ QHD (2560 x 1440) 240Hz 1ms. The laptop has a 3.5mm headset jack for immersive audio quality. There is also a major upgrade for the HDMI Output Port; users now have HDMI 2.1 for faster transmission of media content to an external device.
The device also comes with: 3 Type-A USB 3.2 Gen 1 Ports, 1 Type-A USB, 3.2 Gen 1 Port, Type-C USB 3.2 Gen 2 Port, and an RJ-45 2.5Gbps Ethernet NIC Port, which allows it to connect to networks. For portability, the laptop weighs 2.69Kgs and has dimensions of 22.85mm x 272.5mm x 356.2mm.
Ease of use is not left out, as the device has two keyboard variations: Alienware mSeries 4-Zone AlienFX RGB keyboard or Alienware’s CherryMX ultra-low-profile mechanical keyboard. It is powered by an 86Whr Lithium-ion cell battery chargeable and by a 240W power adapter through the Power/DC-in Port.
This fantastic Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5 would be available in the market from April 20th with a base price of $2229.99 (approximately Rs. 1,66,441).
